STAND ALONE
Stand Alone power systems provide power to a home that is not connected to the mains supply. Energy is collected by photovoltaic panels and stored in batteries. An 'inverter' converts this energy into 240 volt AC power which is used to power lights and appliances in your home.
GRID CONNECT
Grid Connect power systems provide power for a home that is already connected to the mains supply. Energy is collected by photovoltaic panels which is converted by a 'grid feed inverter' allowing immediate use of that power, with any surplus power being exported back to the mains grid, for which you will receive a credit from your power supplier.
Grid Connect systems do not incorporate a battery bank and therefore can not provide continuity of power in the event of a mains supply failure. However, you can install a Grid Interactive System which allows the benefits of a grid connect system, together with the ability to charge a battery bank from the grid when required, which will in turn allow continuity of supply even when the mains supply fails.
RECREATION
Individual stand alone systems can be built to meet your personal needs. This could be for a caravan, motorhome or weekender. Free standing units are ideal for camping and we've even supplied a unit for a canoe. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
EMERGENCY BACK UP
Emergency Back Up systems provide temporary power to homes already connected to the mains supply. Energy is collected by photovoltaic panels and stored in batteries. An 'inverter' converts this energy into 240 volt AC power which can be used when the mains supply fails.
